Considered the Buzzz’s slightly more overstable cousin, the Wasp falls between the Buzzz and the Buzzz OS in stability. Other than the increased fade, the Wasp also sports a beaded rim, differentiating it from the feel of a standard Buzzz. These Wasps were ran in CT Swirl plastic and feature Paul’s PM logo in the 2 o’clock position.
The Wasp™ is our most popular overstable midrange. Superbly consistent flight characteristics for shots in the 250-350 foot range, you'll want one for windy days or hyzer finishes. The Wasp is an overstable midrange with a low profile and large bead. The Wasp can handle full power throws for straight to stable flights or be used at lower speeds for technical flex lines that end with a consistent fade.

The Wasp is my favorite mid range in my bag. After thorwing it for a few seasons it is well used and holds a straight line in a variety of conditions. I think the Wasp doesn't get as much attention as it should due to the popularity of the Buzzz, but a nicely seasoned wasp is just as dependable when you need a straight line that won't turn over or fade out too soon.

The Z Wasp. The Wasp is so versatile for any straight-overstable shots. I can trust the disc will hold hyzer if I keep the nose down while keeping its excellent glide.
CT Plastic
Discraft CT plastic is a special blend of disc golf plastic that is very stiff and durable. It stands for "Crazy Tuff" and is usually released as a limited edition for some disc models. It is similar to the Pro-D plastic, but much tougher and more resistant to wear and tear. This plastic is good for players who prefer a firm feel and a consistent flight. However, it may not be as grippy or flexible as other plastics, such as the ESP or Z FLX.
Some of the benefits of CT plastic are
- Stiff and overstable feel, which is preferred by some players for putting and driving.
- High resistance to wear and tear, which means it can last longer and maintain its flight characteristics.
- Smooth and glossy surface, which makes it easy to clean and attractive to look at.
