I mars 1983 grunnla Dave Dunipace, Harold Duvall, Chalie Duvall og Tim Selinske Innova Champion Discs. Samme måned tok de patent på den etterhvert så kjente triangulære formen på diskene vi nå kaster og i juni ble Aero PDGA-godkjent. Aero ga spillere mer kontroll og ikke minst lengde, og var en viktig disk som revolusjonerte sporten vi alle liker så godt. Med denne disken feirer vi 40 år med innovasjon og vekst.

The Aero is great for beginners and players using only one disc. It's extremely straight and very easy to keep on the fairway for beginners. The Aero is a slow flying control disc with a large diameter and a significant amount of glide. When broken in, the Aero will turnover slowly and predictably. The Aero was introduced in 1983 as the first disc designed specifically for disc golf (then called the Eagle).

Halo Star Plastic
Innova’s Halo plastic is a more eye-catching blend of Star plastic – but it’s STILL Star plastic. Visually, the difference comes from the colorful “halo” that outlines the edge of the disc. The color of the disc’s outer ring is often distinctly different from that of the flight plate. The halo design is formed from two different batches of Star plastic. They’re injected into a machine that allows for multiple colors, giving the disc a special look. As there are two different batches of Star plastic used on the same disc, the rim can feel different than the flight plate. This isn’t because Halo plastic is innately unique, but rather no two Star composites are exactly alike.

Our Star line is created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers. Star plastic offers the same outstanding durability of our regular Champion plastic, plus improved grip like our Pro plastic. Star discs have the same flight characteristics as Champion discs, but are slightly less firm.
